Sparton digital compasses provide highly accurate true heading information through all roll and pitch angles. Sparton's SP3004D is the only digital compass that provides adaptive in-field calibration to compensate for errors caused by positional changes and proximity to magnetic material.

Sparton digital compass products integrate 3-axis magneto-inductive sensors with 3-axis accelerometers to provide a highly accurate heading output independent of platform orientation. Key features of Sparton digital compasses include True North Heading Indication based on Magnetic Variation Correction, 2-D and 3-D Manual Calibration Capability, Full 360 degree Rollover Capability, Rapid Initialization, Selectable Baud Rate and Full Encapsulation.
